Gisele Caroline Bündchen born 20 July 1980) is a Brazilian fashion model and actress. Since 2004, Bündchen has been among the highest-paid models in the world, and as of 2007 was the 16th richest woman in the entertainment industry.
In 2012, she placed 1st on the Forbes top-earning models list.In 2014, she was listed as the 89th Most Powerful Woman in the World by Forbes.
In the late 1990s, Bündchen was the first in a wave of Brazilian models to find international success.
In 1999, Vogue noted "The Return of the Sexy Model", and she was credited with ending the "heroin chic" era of modeling. Bündchen was one of the Victoria's Secret Angels from 2000 until mid-2007.
Bündchen pioneered the "horse walk", a stomping movement created when a model picks her knees up high and kicks her feet out in front.
Claudia Schiffer and Naomi Campbell have stated that Bündchen is the only remaining true supermodel.
Bündchen ventured into acting when she played a supporting role in Taxi (2004), for which she was nominated at the Teen Choice Awards for Choice Movie Breakout Performance, and for Choice Movie Bad Guy.

Surprisingly, as a child Gisele was considered a good volleyball player and had hoped to become a professional player, perhaps for the Brazilian national squad, the Sogipa, but fortunately for her fans she was discovered by modeling talent scouts before she could commit to volleyball training.

November 2011 Gisele made a surprise visit in Boston, MA to a group of teenage girls who were all patients at the Jimmy Fund Clinic at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute for a day of fun. The supermodel spent time with each and every girl, posing for photos and teaching them how to strut their stuff.
Gisele was recognized as one of the most charitable celebrities in 2011 by The Giving Back Fund, which added her to their list of celebs who made the largest donations to charity according to public records.
January 13 2012 Gisele visited Kenya on a goodwill mission. the Brazilian supermodel went to the East African country to experience firsthand the reality of energy poverty.
As part of the visit, Bundchen spent a day with a family in the village of Kisumu and helped them tend to tasks such as carrying firewood to their hut - while also making sure to highlight the dangers of using firewood inside homes that do not have energy. She was also seen dancing with the locals and visiting various homes, as well as teaming up with UK NGO Practical Action during the course of her stay.
Bündchen lends her support and image to a number of charities and humanitarian causes, such as the fight against AIDS and She promotes protecting the Brazilian Atlantic Forest and Amazon Rainforest water sources, donating to this cause a percentage of profits from her line of sandals.
2012 she could not make the AmFar gala in Brazil but she donated money for AIDS research.
June 2012 she helped launch a beauty contest in Brazil, Top Kufa Brazil to find new faces in Brazilian favelas.
The first national competition of beauty played exclusively by candidates between 18 and 22 years who live in underserved communities, created by the Central Union of Slums and Pantene, the brand which Gisele is the face of.
